The PollyGrind is Las Vegas' Premiere Underground Film Festival. It is put on in the same spirit as old school grindhouse cinema - no funding and creatively using whatever is available. This is our second year, our sequel, and we hope to be a little bigger and better than our debut.

For those that are involved in or support independent filmmaking and those that love cult, horror, sci-fi, exploitation, arthouse, cool, edgy, sexy and bloody works of cinema, here is your chance to be apart of the revolution that is known as the PollyGrind.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The PollyGrind is an underground film festival and considers any and all independently produced and non distributed movies that are  slightly off kilter. This includes, but is not limited to horror, gore, sci-fi, fantasy, exploitation, sexploitation, underground, arthouse, cult, experimental, dark, creepy and campy features and shorts. The festival also welcomes music videos and trailers/ad spots from any genre.

MISSION & OBJECTIVE

The PollyGrind Film Festival is all about the darker side of cinema and the artists that bring those films to life. Our aim is to celebrate individuality, diversity, creativity and empowerment by showcasing the work of filmmakers with defiantly independent visions. The festival consists of programming in the tradition of grindhouse theaters with double features, bookended by trailers and music videos.

ABOUT CCF AND POLLY STAFFLE

Chad Clinton Freeman is the founder and director of the PollyGrind Film Festival He has been called the "new champion of unabashed B-movie sleaze" by ArrowInTheHead.com and has been a member of the Exploitation Film Preservation Society since 1996. Freeman is an independent filmmaker and mass media specialist with more than 17 years of print, film and internet experience. He has been a part of all sides of film production, from planning, screenwriting, story development, pre-production, production, promotion and post production. The movie buff and Herschell Gordon Lewis fan also runs the entertainment website PollyStaffle.com, which he founded in 2006. The site’s two promotional taglines are "Home of the entertainment dark side" and "Girls, Guns & Gore."

ABOUT THEATRE7

Located near the "Downtown Las Vegas" sign (1406 South 3rd Street, Las Vegas, NV 89104 In the arts district), theatre7 is an artlover's and indie film fan's paradise. Owned by filmmaker Derek Stonebarger, theatre7 screens independent films, doubles as an art gallery and host live theatre performances.
